After exploring various ideas, we realized that booking a cleaning service was inconvenient and the industry hadn't changed in over 60 years, leading us to create Homejoy.

I want to share my journey of how my co-founder and I spent over three years searching for the right idea for Homejoy, which was born out of a personal need for a cleaning service.

At Homejoy, we learned the hard way that building our own phone system was a mistake, as it led to more complaints than actual customer calls. Instead, using specialized third-party tools improved our customer service experience significantly.

After realizing we needed to expand our sales team, we went from 12 to 100 salespeople in less than a year to better serve our growing customer base.

I continue to work hard every day to improve Homejoy for our customers and service professionals, emphasizing the importance of dedication in entrepreneurship.

Every employee at Homejoy must clean a home in their first few weeks to understand the product and embody our core value of respect for all roles.

Since launching in January 2020, Pinhome has expanded to over 300 cities, covering about 75% of Indonesia, and has served many first-time home buyers.
